Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has expressed deep sadness over the passing of the highly respected Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, describing his death as a monumental loss to Nigeria, the Muslim Ummah, and humanity at large.
In a heartfelt condolence message, the former Governor of Abia State noted that Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi lived a life dedicated to the service of God, knowledge, peace, and spiritual guidance. He praised the late scholar for his unwavering commitment to the propagation of Islamic teachings, his decades of mentorship, and his profound contributions to national unity and moral development.
Kalu emphasized that Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi was not just a cleric but a beacon of wisdom whose teachings touched millions across Nigeria and beyond. He added that the scholar’s humility, piety, and sincerity earned him admiration across religious, ethnic, and regional lines.
The Senator extended his condolences to the Bauchi Emirate, the Tijjaniyya Movement, the government and people of Bauchi State, as well as the entire Muslim community. He prayed that Almighty Allah grant the revered scholar eternal rest and reward him with Aljannatul Firdaus.
Kalu also urged followers of the late Sheikh to uphold his legacy of peace, tolerance, and devotion to knowledge.
