It will no longer be political, a news, that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, attracted through his office, over fifty (50) roads to the rural communities of the five local governments of his senatorial district. With the visit of the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, to Abia North on Friday, April 15th, to commission some of these roads and the subsequent roads commissioned by Dist. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, it is now an open testimony that the senator representing Abia North, has the foresights and reasonable vision for the people of his senatorial district.
Having Over fifteen (15) roads commissioned already, with more roads, schools and water boreholes ready to be commissioned, the Senate Chief whip and former governor of Abia state also in his ditto, have more roads under construction with an intention to link more rural communities to ensure developmental activities including aiding farmers in moving their farm produce to their selling points.
The renovation of dilapidated Schools to a standard conducive enough with furnished reading desks are also projects undertaken, through his office amidst the supplies of text books and school bags to pupils, from primary through their secondary studies. The health sector was not left behind, hospitals are under construction as the chief whip, attracted full capacity building of hospitals to rural communities.
What can it be said is wrong, with Dr Orji Uzor Kalu’s delivery on his campaign promises? On what grounds could Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, be opposed, that would make the people of Abia North, to push away their Best, for a reserve?
The answers lies with the people of the communities, where these roads were commissioned, having their untold stories!
In Arochukwu, many indigenes bought land and built in urban areas good houses without having a boys quarters back home because they had no access roads to their ancestral homes, pitifully enough, with little or no hopes on the government, Federal nor State to one day, remember they exists.
However, following the enormous support of the zone to Mr President, Muhammadu Buhari, and as promised by the Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, to bring closer to the people the dividends of democracy, the resultant of his achievements within these three (3) years depicts that Mr President, Mohamadu Buhari is appreciative of our efforts in supporting him through the 2019 presidential election.
Some people had no access into their communities for over fifty (50) and forty (40) years. Could someone, in this present day, drive comfortably to those communities during election campaign, with plans to convince and manipulate the people to sack the builder of roads, schools, hospitals and stomach infrastructure? Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, is presumed to have the Badge of capability and trust of the people.
He’s called the Pride of the land (Abia North). All these achievements, in just three years of holding the district’s mandate has opened the eyes of Abians that there are more to what a senator can do, other than just making laws. In the past, since 1999, the people of Abia North senatorial district had it tough to an extent, all hope became lost at the little empowerment given to the people, such as, frying pans, pots, and fire woods.
During the campaigns, it is recalled how senator Orji Uzor Kalu, in his grassroots tour, enlightened the people on the benefits of sending their best for the job. He elaborated on how he was going to build roads for the rural communities. It was to many, the most Distinguished Senator was scheming his way into power.
Today, the fact remained, the achievements of all, that had represented Abia North in the red chambers for Donkey-years, put together, can not surmount the achievements of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in just three (3) years. Orji Uzor Kalu have proved himself yet again, of his selfless services, all for the betterment of the people.
Still not sure of the directions of Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, for the 2023 general elections, as the nation call on him for the topmost job of the Nigeria President from the Southeast, his return ticket for the Senate is by far Guaranteed in the coming 2023 general election.
