As political activities gradually gather momentum for the 2025 governorship election in Anambra state, prominent leaders have said that Sir Paul Chukwuma is the best governoship material in the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2025 governorship election in Anambra state.
The leaders in a consultative visit to a former governor of Abia state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu on Tuesday, in Abuja, described Chukwuma as a candidate with the right public service credentials, experience, managerial skills and leadership acumen to fly the ticket of the APC in the 2025 governorship election.
Sir Chukwuma had in his entourage leading professionals, business people, women leaders and politicians from Anambra state and South-east geopolitical zone.
Speaking on behalf of the team, a former federal lawmaker and deputy governorship candidate, Senator Emma Anosike, said: If you look at those with governorship ambition in 2025 under the APC, you’ll agree with me that Sir Paul Chukwuma is the best for our great party.
“With due respect to others, what Anambra is looking for is a technocrat with a sound background. Someone that can win elections for our party — and that is why we are here to seek your support as a prominent Igbo son with ties to Anambra state.”
According to Anosike, it was on the heels of critical and careful observation and proper fact finding done on his (Chukwuma) person as well as careful perusal of his plans which if implemented would bring development to Anambra state.
He noted that the decision of the leaders to unite behind Chukwuma became imperative to avoid losing Anambra state in 2025.
Responding, Senator Orji Kalu appreciated the leaders for recognizing him and his contributions to the All Progressives Congress.
Kalu used the opportunity to applaud the commitment of the national leader of the party, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, members of the National Working Committee (NWC) under the leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Gundaje, saying: “I am a committed party man and I am happy that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing what is right to make Nigeria a better place. As for Anambra State, I am fully committed in supporting the candidate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Working Committee.”
Meanwhile, an elated and excited Chukwuma appreciated the elders and leaders of Anambra State for believing in his aspiration and personality, promising dividends of democracy for the people of Anambra state.
