The National Vice-Chairman (South-East) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, joined prominent leaders and dignitaries at Uburu in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State for the burial of the wife of Chief Roy Nweze Umahi, SAN, elder brother to the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi.
The solemn ceremony drew political leaders, traditional rulers, business executives, and sympathizers from across the South-East and beyond, all gathered to honour the life and legacy of the deceased.
While commiserating with the Umahi family, Dr. Arodiogbu prayed for God’s comfort upon them and for the peaceful repose of the deceased. Beyond the burial rites, the event also provided an opportunity for meaningful engagement among regional stakeholders.
Dr. Arodiogbu held constructive discussions with the host governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, as well as Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti. Their talks focused on strengthening regional cooperation and advancing collective interests in the South-East, including infrastructure renewal, economic integration, and improved security coordination.
He emphasized that the progress of the region must transcend party lines, urging South-East leaders to speak with a unified voice on issues affecting the zone. Dr. Arodiogbu expressed optimism that sustained collaboration among leaders would unlock the South-East’s full potential.
Reaffirming the APC’s commitment to inclusive development under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the APC National Vice-Chairman assured the people of the region that stronger synergy among political actors would fast-track growth and deliver long-awaited dividends of democracy.
